Lent Day 12

Isaiah 65: 17, 25

“See, I will create  new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered,  nor will they come to mind. The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain,” says the Lord.

REFLECTION

The Lord will create a new beginning for his people. The former things (bad ways) will go away and people and creatures that were foes before will come together and be at peace and harmony. The serpent (Satan) will no longer be able to harm anyone or anything.

Reflection by Magnolia and Gail

CONSIDER

How as individuals, people of God can we help promote goodness and kindness in a world with so many problems? How can we make things better for everyone?

PRAYER

Dear Lord, please help us make a difference in this often-troubled world. We need your guidance in showing fairness, leading by example to be kind, helpful, discouraging mean behavior and loving all people and creatures on this planet.

FAITH IN ACTION

Don’t Judge, Be forgiving, Be kind to others, Be there for people, Stand up for the less fortunate, lead by example, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

DAILY GRATITUDE

Take a moment to name one thing you are grateful for today.

BIBLE NOTE: Prophets often speak not only about their present time, but about God’s future.
