Lent Day 40

1 Peter 4:1-2, 6-8

Since, therefore, Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same intention (for whoever has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin), so as to live for the rest of your earthly life no longer by human desires but by the will of God.

For this is the reason the gospel was proclaimed even to the dead, so that, though they had been judged in the flesh as everyone is judged, they might live in the spirit as God does. The end of all things is near; therefore, be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers. Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.

REFLECTION

This scripture tells me that we have all sinned and have been through a lot. However, Jesus has gone through so much more. Try to live your life with the simple pleasures, don't get wrapped up in keeping up with the Joneses. Do better in the world,

try to live your life as Jesus did, you won't have any regrets when your time has come to leave the world. If you're not happy with who you are, it's never too late to change. Be the change in the world, always do good deeds, especially when no one is looking.

FAITH IN ACTION

Go out and do a good deed, pay for someone's meal, do something nice for someone. Pay it forward! That is where all great things start. It can be contagious

DAILY GRATITUDE

Take a moment to name one thing you are grateful for today.
