Lent Day 18
1 Corinthians 12:1, 4-6
Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
REFLECTION
Through God’s Wisdom, he has blessed each of us with various talents, and we should respect those gifts and work together, in unity, and in service to our Lord. In our daily lives we should strive to move beyond individualism, to work together for the common good, and to appreciate the unique contributions each person brings. Our earthly task is to use this in Spiritual harmony and to embody this unique call that God has planned for each of us.

CONSIDER
Imagine your life as a toolbox, filled with unique tools gifted by the Holy Spirit. These tools aren’t meant to gather dust; they’re needed to build and strengthen our shared family. Are you using your special skills to uplift and support those around you? Your workplace, home, and church community all rely on your contribution. Take a moment to look around—are you making the most of your divine toolkit?
PRAYER
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant.
Heavenly Father, teach me to respect others as I love myself. Guide me to act with empathy, honor, and compassion. Let my love for You reflect in the respect I show to all people.
FAITH IN ACTION
Perhaps a suggestion is to look where you have “seen” God in someone or some circumstance. Reflect on it, and how it affected you. Did it fill you with a renewed spirit?
DAILY GRATITUDE
Take a moment to name one thing you are grateful for today.
BIBLE NOTE: Paul’s letters often address how diverse gifts strengthen one body.
