Lent Day 16

Psalm 95: 3-5

For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.  The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.

REFLECTION

The scripture reminds me of all the beauty that God has created for us to enjoy and be in awe of. The mountains are always such a wonder with all of them being unique with peaks and valleys creating their own special beauty. When I hike in the outdoors, I feel so close with God and at peace. The sunrises and sunsets also remind me of God and how amazing he is. Psalm 95 reminds me who God is—Creator, King, and Sustainer of all things.

CONSIDER

It is important to worship God and understand he loves us. He understands if we make mistakes and He forgives us and will not give up on us. The wonder of His creation reminds me of God’s faithfulness and control, even when life feels uncertain. The important thing in our life should not be the material things we own it is how we treat other people and show kindness and spread love.

PRAYER

God, please guide me and give me strength when life gets hard. Thank you for reminding me of your presence with all the beauty of your creations on earth. Help me to trust the God who created the mountains and the seas, and to rest in Your strength when I feel weak.

FAITH IN ACTION

When you notice the beauty of God’s creation, pause, take a breath, and thank Him for His presence in your life. Look for one intentional way this week to help someone in need—through a kind word, a helping hand, or a prayer. Small acts of love reflect the greatness of our Creator.

DAILY GRATITUDE
